The name
Mélange is what weavers call a yarn spun from fibres of different colours — a blend that reads as one. The name is a precise description of what this brand is made of: two residences, many purposes for staying, one thread of care running through all of it.
The lineage
Mélange is owned by the founders of Mysore Saree Udyog — a legacy name in India’s textile world. Boutique was learned there long before it was practised in hospitality: in fabric, where quality lives in the count of a weave, the hand of a cloth, and the discipline of details no one sees but everyone feels. The jali trellis that runs through this brand is carried from that world — a pattern from our textile lineage, kept as a signature rather than a decoration. Hospitality, for us, is the same craft in a different material. Attention, woven in.
Since 2003
Mélange Lavelle opened its doors in 2003; Mélange Astris followed in 2009. Two decades of hosting Bangalore’s corporate, relocating, recovering and long-staying guests have built what cannot be bought new — reputation, experience, and a footprint in two of the city’s best addresses.
Most hospitality helps a guest stay comfortably. Mélange helps a guest live comfortably — settled, not merely accommodated, whether for two nights or two months.
